I enjoy watching Brandon Campbell’s videos on YouTube. Generally, they’re informative and I like his approach to training, plus he’s got a unique sense of humor that I like. In the following video, he describes his plans for the near future.
He will look to increase his work capacity primarily by increasing the amount of total volume he’ll do in his workouts. Then, the plan is to lower rep counts and increase weight, once his work capacity has shown improvement.
Doing more repetitions on squats, bench, deadlift, overhead press, etc. will also help him improve technique. Ingrained motor patterns are difficult to change, so if you want to change your technique on squat, bench and deadlift as a powerlifter, it’s gonna take a lot of reps.
